There’s one thing that I love more than anything: Chocolate. So needless to say this chocolate smoothie has become my go-to breakfast of choice every single day. It’s the World’s best chocolate smoothie after all.
When it comes to breakfast options I’m always looking for things that are quick and delicious. Because, after all, no one has a ton of time to devote to making breakfast right? I mean definitely not me. With all the running around and the trying to get everyone out of the door at somewhat a decent time I never want to commit to a complicated or elaborated breakfast recipe.
That’s why smoothies have always been a huge hit around here. They are really easy to make, they don’t take a ton of time and if you make them well they are incredibly delicious + you can pretty much have them all to go which means that they are perfect to have when you are running late.
However, the perfect smoothie should not only be quick and easy (and delicious!) it should also be creamy and filling, the creamier the better in my very humble opinion.
This chocolate smoothie is incredibly creamy and oh so decadent which I love love love. Since it’s so creamy and thick it’s also really filling so it will hold you up until lunchtime.
Actually, being completely honest with you this is the type of smoothie that tastes like dessert, aka: this tastes like the most decadent chocolate milkshake ever.
You can keep it simple like this one or add in some hidden veggies like spinach if you want to power it up. Or you can also go ahead and add some carrots and a handful of kale or even a couple of chocolate chips on top to make it, even more, dessert like.
- 2 Cups milk
- 1 Tbsp peanut butter
- 1 Banana
- Chocolate syrup to taste
- ½ Cup grated chocolate
In a blender, mix the milk, peanut butter, and banana.
Blend until smooth and foamy.
Glaze glasses with the chocolate syrup and pour the chocolate milk.
Top with the grated chocolate.
Serve and enjoy.
