Need Financial Motivation? Change the Way you Think About Saving

Financial motivation

Saving money is challenging. No matter how many new tips or techniques I find it is difficult cutting back each month and putting money away. I am sure a lot of you can agree that not only do you have a hard time finding ways to save each month, but often times you are saving to pay down debt. It is extremely hard to stay motivated to save money.

Even though I whole heartedly believe in paying off debt I think it is important to also focus on small goals and saving for fun items in your life. In order to stay motivated and reach financial goals it is important to also give yourself rewards. Most of the time people are putting away a portion of their income to pay off debt or their goals are so far out of reach. It is hard to stay focused on saving for a rainy day. Well, SunTrust wants to inspire you to start living for a SUNNY day.

I absolutely LOVE this concept for saving. It provides me with an optimistic view on saving our money. Even though my family and I will not be able to go to Disney World for a few years it is one of our savings goals for the future. My husband and I cannot wait for the day to take our three boys to this magical place. We are now saving to LIVE our SUNNY day thanks to SunTrust and look forward to that moment when our kids walk into Disney. Knowing that we will be able to experience that amazing trip with our kids is what keeps us going each month.

I encourage you to sign-up for the SunTrust bi-monthly Shine newsletter. It will provide you with motivation and inspiration to reach your savings goals so that you can start living for a SUNNY day! 1. Saving always means something sunny is possible. I have a financial goal I want to reach and look forward to that day

  2. We are almost credit card debt free. That will only leave student loans, mortgage and car loans. Once income tax gets here, the credit cards will be gone. We plan to start putting extra towards the cars and then put some in savings.
