This is one of the best ways to save money. You can save yourself thousands of dollars if you are vacationing to a beach area just by going in one of their off months. If you are planning on flying this is a nice way to save some money on the cost of your trip. If you can be flexible with your dates you can definitely save on airfare by flying mid week.

Instead of always dining out go to a local grocery store and purchase a few meals to help cut back your total food cost. This will also help with snacks or packing lunches while you are on vacation.
4. Free Locations & Sight-seeing
Check out all of the free local places first. Plan ahead and find out what is by your hotel maybe you can go hiking, fish, etc.
5. Stay on budget
Figure out how much you are able to spend before you plan your vacation. Not only will this help you plan what you can afford but will prevent you from spending too much once you are on vacation. No impulse buying!

This can help save you money with airfare and other vacation related purchases. If you have a credit card that gives you cash back or air miles. It will also help you see how much you spent the entire vacation.

If you are given the opportunity to purchase a bundle deal it will help to save you on each part of your vacation. Whether it is just airfare and hotel or if they offer activities that you know you would enjoy doing.

I love staying at places that offer a free breakfast! This is a great perk especially if you have kids.
9. Check coupon pamphlets
Most places will give you a pamphlet of local attractions and restaurants. Many time these contain coupons and discounts. Try to plan where your going to go or eat with the coupons they give you to save some money.
