You can teach your kids about caterpillars and then make our Coffee Filter Butterfly craft to show them the transformation!

  • Paint/ Markers {optional - if you have plain clothes pins and want them to paint them}

Caterpillar Clothes Pin Directions:

This craft is pretty self explanatory. All you need to do is put glue on to the clothes pins and then decorate them. Make sure the face is at the closed end of the caterpillar so that it is easier to hold when it is finished.It makes it easier if you use a lot of glue. Especially when it comes to putting the eyes onto the caterpillar. They are so small and stick to your fingers, so put a decent amount of glue on before you do the eyes. My three year old did much better with this than the two year old. This would be a great craft for school aged children because the pieces are smaller and a little bit harder to work with.clothes pin craftWe had so much fun making our clothes pin caterpillar crafts.
