Valentines Day Puppy Chow

Valentines Day Puppy Chow Valentines Day Puppy Chow is a fun treat to make for the holiday! This is a family favorite in our house. I enjoy making puppy chow because you can alter the ingredients to fit the occasion. Normally, I like to just make it plain, but since Valentines Day is coming up I thought I would add some ingredients. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Valentines Day Puppy Chow Ingredients:

  • 1 Box Chex Cereal {whichever one you prefer}
  • 1 Bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 1 Jar of Peanut Butter {small jar}
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Box Strawberry Cake Mix
  • M&M's

Valentines Day Puppy Chow Directions:

You can start making the Valentines Day puppy chow by melting the chocolate. You can either do this in the microwave or over the stovetop. When I do it on the stove top I always boil water in a pot and set a glass bowl on top so that the chocolate does not burn. Once the chocolate is melted you can stir in the peanut butter and the butter. You do not have to use the entire jar of peanut butter or the whole stick of butter. Stir it all together and meltPour the Chex Mix cereal into a large bowl. Start by pouring the chocolate peanut butter mix over top of the cereal. Stir until the cereal is completely coated. Next, use a large ziploc bag and put the the cake mix and powdered sugar into it. Next, add the puppy chow and shake until it is covered.Keep refrigerated and enjoy!
