Very Berry Slush Drink

This slush was so refreshing and easy to make! I love enjoying a cool drink on a hot summer day. The best part of making a slush at home is you can add any fruit you have at your house or even add yogurt to make it into a smoothie. I swear every day my kids are asking for ice cream, popsicles or other cool treats during the summer. Buying those drinks really adds up so making these slushies at home is a great alternative. Not only do they enjoy drinking it but they love being able to help me make them!

Berry Slush Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
  • 3 Cups Ice Cubes
  • 1/2 Cup Sprite
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar

Berry Slush Directions:

Make sure you remove the green petals from the strawberries and wash them well if you are using fresh. Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until you get a smooth slush consistency. You will need to stop the blender and stir the mixture around. Try to break up and big ice chunks. Serve chilled immediately. You could also substitute the Sprite for lemon juice or water. I have also tried the recipe without using the sugar and it honestly was not as good. The sugar adds the perfect amount of flavor to the drink.I put the slush in a mason jar to enjoy with one of my pretty straws! My boys like to eat their slush with a spoon so I normally leave it a little thick.slushCheck out Ways to Save Money this Summer and How you can Keep your Kids Active during Summer.
