My kids are always complaining that we eat the same foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have a hard time finding new recipes that they will actually try let alone enjoy eating. I am definitely guilty of making the same foods that we are used to eating so that I can avoid the battle of trying to get my kids to at least eat a bite of their food.

But, I am making a conscious effort to change this habit. So, I am going to take baby steps. Instead of completely cooking new recipes I thought it would be fun to try to spice up the foods they eat on a daily basis. This way they can enjoy their meal and it would be different for them. Win-win.

Since breakfast is such an important meal of the day I wanted to try a fun new recipe that I new my kids would love. I headed to our local Walmart and purchased the new Jif Peanut Powder for my recipe. My family loves eating peanut butter. We probably have it in some form or another every single day.

I thought it would be fun to try this new Jif Peanut Powder because it is perfect for adding to recipes and has 85% less fat than traditional peanut butter and 7-9 grams of protein per serving.

Instead of making regular pancakes for breakfast the next day I made peanut butter pancakes! You would not believe how much my kids loved these pancakes. Plus, they are simple and quick to make even if you have a busy morning.

  1. Jif Peanut Powder with lower fat and lots of protein sounds like a fantastic ingredient for pancakes. I’m more of a waffle person and the easy directions for peanut butter pancakes mean easy to make peanut butter waffles! Thanks for the hint. I haven’t seen peanut powder yet, but I’ve got it on my Wal-Mart list for Friday’s shopping.
