How to Use a Budget Binder

Do you use a budget binder? I recently posted my free printable budget binder, which includes everything I use to keep track of our finances.

Organize your finances and figure out where you money is going each month.

In order to make wise decisions with your money you need to be organized. Saving money and being financially responsible is not easy. Having a budget will help you to figure out where you are spending your money each month so that you can learn ways to save money. You will never get out of debt if you do not know where your money is going every month.

Here is what my budget binder includes:

  • Cover
  • Monthly Financial Goals
  • Yearly Financial Goals
  • Monthly Bill Tracker
  • Monthly Budget
  • Bank Account Information
  • Debt Paydown
  • Blank Calendar
  • Holidays & Observances

To make it easy, I have created a video about all of the pages that are in my budget binder and how I use each one. Make sure you print out all of the pages in the binder and then watch the video below to start organizing your finances.

  1. Hi Addi,
Just stumbling onto your blog when I did a search for online free printable budgets. Thank you so much for creating this great blog. I’ve put it on my desktop and am sure I will be visiting this site often. I had one question/request. Do you have a blank “Monthly Budget” template so that other expenses could be added or adapted to personal needs? That would be awesome. Thanks again for all your hard work on this site.

    1. Hi Kathy! Thank you so much for your kind words about my blog. I do not have one right now, but I will add it to my to-do list and get it up on the blog ASAP. Thanks!

  2. Hey Addi! I just wanted to say thank you so much for the budget binder! It is laid out exactly as I would have done it myself. Can you add a blank monthly expense tracker sheet? I am going to make one but I want it to match your font and all that and I can’t seem to figure out what font that is! But I want to be able to physically write down the date, how much I spent, and what category it falls into on my monthly budget sheet. Thanks so much! love all your stuff so far!

      1. I am using that one as a templet for my “if I get my apartment” scenario. But I did make an expense tracker just the colors don’t match 🙁 If you happen to make one please let me know! I would use that in a heartbeat!

  3. Love your website. I was at the library and found it. The library only prints in black and white and is kinda weak looking. But I’m glad to print from there but your forms are so beautiful and cheerful. I have no way printing in color. Do you sale a packet of your binder forms so it would be cheerful and encouraging as I’m trying to get debt free. Limited income on disability. Thank you Barbara
