Anyone who knows me knows that I love planning parties and entertaining. I enjoy picking a theme, planning the food and most of all I like to plan the best parties on a budget. Below you will find one of my favorite recipes to make for guests along with a FREE party planning checklist printable to use for your next event.

If you have hosted a party then you understand how they can cost a lot of money. The costs can quickly add up. You may think that you are not spending a lot of money since it is spread out throughout the planning process, but if you sit down and add it up you may be surprised with how much money you actually spent.

One of the ways that I save money on parties is by planning ahead and setting a budget. If you have a budget to stick to then you are more likely to not make unnecessary purchases. A great way to cut the costs once you have a budget is plan ahead and find ways to cut the expenses.

I like to plan my parties weeks in advance. Not only does this give me time to get everything done, but it allows me to get the best deals on the food for the party. If you plan ahead then you can wait to use coupons and match them with store sales to maximize your savings. Find coupons to use on food, invitations and decorations. This will help you to stay within your budget while still having a successful party.

  1. I love that you can use just 4 ingredients for this amazing appetizer! It’s also great when you can make a large batch of something and then use the recipe to make two dishes! I think I would prefer the Kraft Mexican cheese as well for this – yum! Thanks for sharing your tips! #client

  2. This look yummy! Can’t wait to try them 🙂 Where can I find the Mini Fillo Shells in the grocery store?

  3. Can you make these a day before and serve cold? Looking for ideas for a graduation party and I need to make most things ahead of time.

  4. Hi Adeline, have you ever attempted to add ground beef to these? Would browning the beef before and then cooking for 20 minutes cause the meat to over cook you think? Looking forward to making these this weekend!

    1. You would need to heat it up for a dip. You could do that in oven or microwave. If you prepare it as a dip, you can use toasted baguettes or tortillas chips.

  5. Made this for a party last week and everyone loved it… was all gone by the time I could get any for myself . easy to make and can be made the night before. Just need to heat in the microwave for 1 min or less .thank you for the easy yet delicious recipe
