I honestly love making different recipes to put into my pampered chef trifle bowl. They are easy to make and you can alter the ingredients to fit the occasion. When I hosted a baby sprinkle for my sister I used pink cake so the layers looked really pretty!

Oreo Trifle Recipe Ingredients:

  • Brownies or Cake {these can be homemade or store bought}
  • 2 Containers of Cool Whip or 1 Large container
  • 1 Package of Oreo Cookies
  • 2 packs of Instant Chocolate Pudding
  • Extras: you can add caramel sauce or hot fudge

Oreo Trifle Recipe Directions:

You want to start by preparing the brownies or cake. If you choose to use store bought then you can get started right away, otherwise wait until your brownies/cake have cooled. Next, prepare your pudding. I recommend using the instant pudding. You will then need to crush up the oreos into small pieces. I did this by placing them into a baggie and using our rolling pin. You can actually just use your hands because they crumble very easily. I like to save a few extras just in case you want bigger pieces on top of the oreo trifle.

Now begin your layers. I like to start with the brownies/cake so that it has a base. I think it makes it easier to serve, but you can layer it however you want. Here are the layers I did:

  1. Layer of Brownies
  2. Layer of Chocolate Pudding
  3. Layer of Cool Whip
  4. Layer of Crushed Oreos

I then added the crushed oreos to the top to make it look nice! I have also tried a Heath Bar Trifle too. Here are some other recipes to try: Smores Cookies, Pretzel M&M Bites and Reindeer Cookies!

  1. I just LOVE trifles, and this one looks amazing. The first trifle I ever made was out of desperation… My cake stuck to the pan and I needed a desert for the dinner party I was attending. So I scraped it out of the pan and made a trifle! I never received more compliments in my life! Can’t wait to try this one! Thanks for sharing Addi!

  3. Hey, this looks so amazing, but I live in New Zealand, and as far as I know, we don’t have Cool Whip here. I can find variations of the Jell-O, and of course we have ready-made cake recipe boxes and Oreos, but would you have a recommendation for something to use instead of Cool Whip? Thanks 🙂

  4. Hi,

    I am planning to serve this wonderful delicacy at my son’s birthday party. Can I make this trifle ahead of the party ( how long before )? I am afraid that it will turn soggy? Please help.

  5. I made it the first time for a sweet 16 party and the girls loved it. Making it again today. Truly 😋 yummy. Made it the first time with cake, trying brownies this time.
