Start by pre-heating your oven to 400. Wash the sweet potatoes and then poke with a fork. Next, wrap each sweet potato individually in foil and bake for 45 - 60 minutes. You can test them by poking with a fork or knife to feel how soft they are to determine if they are cooked thoroughly.Let cool. Peel off the skin and then cut the sweet potato into smaller chunks so that it will fit into your food processor or blender. I always add about 1/2 cup of water so that I get the right consistency. Depending on the age of your child you will need to make sure the baby food sweet potato recipe is not too thick.
