Walgreens

I am very excited to be partnering with Walgreens this holiday season. Walgreens is the perfect destination to purchase thoughtful gifts for anyone on your list this year. Not only can you stop in to your neighborhood Walgreens to check everyone off your shopping list, but it is your one-stop shop for wrapping paper, decorations, gift cards, and more. This holiday season I am focusing on showing our appreciation for the people in our lives who help manage our day like teachers, daycare staff and nannies, healthcare providers, home and repair professionals, personal service providers and pet sitters.. Often times people forget about giving gifts to these important service providers in their life.Anyone who knows me knows that I love giving gifts. It is such a wonderful feeling picking out the perfect gift for someone and then seeing their excitement and appreciation of getting what I specifically picked out for them.Sometimes it can be difficult purchasing gifts for everyone on your list without breaking the bank; especially if you start to add in all the  people who help manage your daily  life. A great way to make sure you do not overspend is by budgeting a particular amount for each person on your list. But, how much should you spend? What type of gift should you buy for your everyday service providers?Well, I wanted to know the answers to these questions too, so I did a quick survey of friends and family to see what types of items they purchase for service providers and how much they typically spend. I have a few “go-to” presents that I normally buy, but I was interested in finding a few new options this year. Here is what I found from the people who completed the survey. The first question I wanted to know which types of service providers they normally purchase gifts for during the holidays.

Walgreens Survey

The top three answers were Teachers, Hair Dressers and Mail Carriers. All three of these everyday service providers are on my shopping list this year along with a few others including our Garbage Collector. Next, I asked how much money they normally spend on gifts for the people who help manager their every day.

Walgreens Survey

The majority of the people spend between $10 and $20, which was great news! This means you could purchase more gifts for your service providers at Walgreens without having to spend a lot of money. From the people who answered my survey a few fell into the category of someone who would be receiving a gift for their service. Each one of them said that they were grateful for just being thought of for a gift rather than the amount of money someone spent on the time. So, the saying “It is the thought that counts,” definitely holds true. Though a small gift from Walgreens helps shows how much they’re appreciated!

9 out of 10 respondents say it’s the thought that counts for gifts not the cost —>Click To Tweet<

The last question I wanted to know was what types of gifts they give, or receive if they are a service provider, and these were the top gifts listed:

  • Gift Cards
  • Gift Baskets
  • Home Decor Items

I love the idea of making a gift basket. It is the perfect way to personalize the gift and make something special to show your appreciation. Are any of these items gifts you would purchase for your child’s teacher, healthcare provider or pet sitter? Were you surprised with any of these answers? We would love to hear what you purchase for your service providers by sharing on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #WalgreensHoliday.
